In Deathloop, we are a group of people who are trying to make sense of the world and figure out why we are here in the first place. We are humans, and we have decided to take matters into our own hands. At the crux of the game, there is a group of people with a time loop on the island of Blackreef. They can only be found by killing the Visionaries, and those Visionaries can only be killed by the people on Deathloop.
The main reason we got to this point in Deathloop was because of the way the game’s story is told. The story has a number of characters who are trying to escape this island, and their friends are trying to escape the first group of people who have left. We could have just as easily set up the game to do a story in the first place. But that’s what we get instead.
There isn’t a whole lot to tell about the story. Sure, we get an introduction to the main character Colt Vahn (we see him and his friends in the trailer) and a bunch of background information about him. The story is mostly implied. That’s all I have to say about the story.
The story is a bit over-the-top. It is set in the future, and all of the characters have superpowers that can be used to change the course of the game. The story is mostly about Colt figuring out who he is and what he did to get all of these powers. But I’m here to tell you that the story is just that a story, and we don’t see that much of it.
